Birth Plan, Labor and DeliveryBy Stefanie OverstreetFebruary 12, 2021

In Part 1 of the series on Victorious Birth, we talked about the importance of shifting our mindset toward birth from one focused on specific outcomes and our performance during birth to being grounded in God’s presence and His truth. A key component for making this mental shift is exchanging fear for truth.  How Fear…

When I thought I was the only one thinking, “I l When I thought I was the only one thinking, “I love my newborn. But I find myself dreading the long nights.”

If you’ve ever found yourself thinking something similar, I’m here to tell you:

Momma, you’re not alone.

The keys 🔑 to enjoying the first few months with your baby more really come down to 2 things-

1️⃣ A better understanding of what is happening during the first few months postpartum- both in you and your baby.

There are specific hormonal and developmental shifts happening. When you understand these, you can support yourself and your baby better, so that you can have so much more peace and enjoyment.

2️⃣ Realistic expectations are also key. You might be thinking you’re failing and everything is falling apart- which heightens anxiety, overwhelm and depression.

When you learn to view your experience through the proper expectations, you set yourself up to see all of the things you’re doing well and what is going right ✨

When you learn to harness these keys, you’ll feel the dread, overwhelm and mood swings begin to shift.

Let me help you get that weight off your shoulders, momma!

There is a better way. It’s the way of peace 🕊️

I’ve put together all of the foundational keys to a more peaceful and enjoyable postpartum into my PEACE Method program.

Send me a DM if you’d like to chat about whether the PEACE Method program is a good fit for you! 💌

My “I healed with help 💙” story for Matern My “I healed with help 💙” story for
Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week

You wouldn’t know by looking at this picture, but I was struggling so much with anxiety, insomnia, overwhelm and fear. The mood swings and episodes of anger eventually gave way to crushing feelings of guilt and shame. Eventually, the burden of this struggle led to feeling sad, unworthy, and, like my family would be better off without me.

Motherhood was nothing like I had hoped it would be.

The thing is- I had some really good days too. It took me a while to realize that I needed to seek support.

Healing with help looked like counseling, prayer, support from friends and family, deep inner work when it came to my identity and connection with God, and eventually working with a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner to help identify some root causes.

I wouldn’t wish that suffering on my worst enemy.

But I also wouldn’t trade that experience because I wouldn’t be who I am today without it. Through that experience I learned to trust and surrender to the One who promises to work all things for good.

I healed with help. And you can too!

I’m here to help other mommas who are struggling during their postpartum season, heal and reclaim their joy and peace.

If you’d like to know, more, my DMs are open. 💜
